The new SG5070 SDI-HD/SDI video signal
generator provides broadcasters with an
affordable tool for testing fiber and copper coaxial
paths and identifying signals in the field. Capable
of producing four different video test patterns in
7 HD formats and 6 SD formats, the SG5070
generator is an important member of the
Viper II modular system family.
Small Size - Big Features
Only the SG5070 gives you two BNC outputs, as
well as two fiber optic outputs. And with your choice
of multiple patterns and formats, you can trouble-
shoot in any production environment, whether TV
sports, studio work or digital cinema. Use it in your
Viper II frame, or by itself as a stand alone diagnostic tool.
Easy troubleshooting in the field
Identify fibers or monitors, verify entire installations and ensure that
your system is working to its full potential. Multiple outputs can serve
multiple needs.
Two buttons on the module faceplate control the signal being generated. The top
button toggles between HD and SD,
as well as several SMPTE standards, progressive scan or interlaced and various
frame rates. The lower button selects
one of four available test patterns: bars, pathological EQ & PLL. and black.
Built in memory recalls the last pattern displayed. Simple operation in a
convenient, low cost package.
