MpegCheckWare Splicing is a Windows Application and works with either Windows
2000® or Windows® XP.
Features
• Merging two or more Mpeg 2 files
into a continuous
stream compensating for PCR, PTS and other
inconsistencies.
• Automatic compensation of PCR, PTS and DTS shift
ensures a seamless transition between audio and video
content after a splice has been made.
• Typically used for NVod applications; adding branding
or other channel information to ingested files held for
playback.
Stream Splicing is an ideal way to improve
management of offline content ensuring files are delivered perfectly down the
transmission chain. Splicing operates at the transport stream layer avoiding the
need for costly demultiplexing equipment when handling transport files.
